Expertise Feats

Mace Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: Damage die of maces you use increases by one step. In addition when you make a basic attack using a mace, you can target AC or Fort.

Orb Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You gain a +1 feat bonus to the number of squares you pull, push, or slide targets of attacks that you make with an orb. In addition when you make a basic attack using an orb, you can target Will rather than the normal defense for the attack.

Pick Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: Attacks you make with a pick ignore 5 points of damage resistance. This increases to 10 at 11th level and 15 at 21st level. In addition when you make a basic attack using a pick, you can target AC or Fort.

Polearm Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: While you hold a two-handed polearm in both hands, you gain a +2 bonus to all defenses against charge attacks. In addition when making melee basic attacks using a polearm your reach increases by 1.

Rod Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: When you hold a rod, it gains defensive and high crit properties.

Shield Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: Damage of your shield increases by one step, and you ignore the check penalty for wearing a shield.

Spear Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: When charging, you gain a 1 step bonus to damage rolls of weapon attacks that you make with a spear. In addition you can make an opportunity attack against any enemy charging you.

Staff Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: When you make a ranged or an area attack with a staff as an implement, you don’t provoke opportunity attacks for doing so. When you make a melee weapon attack with a staff, the weapon’s reach for that attack increases by 1.

Tome Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: Enemies adjacent to your conjurations or summoned creatures grant combat advantage. An enemy that is immune to fear is immune to this effect. In addition you gain an additional minor action that can be used only to command or sustain your summons or conjurations.

Totem Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You ignore light cover and light concealment on implement attacks you make with a totem. When rolling damage for an implement attack you make with a totem, you can reroll the damage, but you must use the second result.

Unarmed Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You can treat your unarmed attacks as either two weapons, single weapon, two handed weapon or one handed weapon. Once per turn as a free action you can pick a style and gain its benefits until the beginning of your next turn. In addition your unarmed damage increases by one step.

Wand Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You ignore light cover and moderate cover on implement attacks you make with a wand. In addition if you miss with an implement attack with a wand and you wouldn’t otherwise still deal damage on the miss, you deal damage to your original target equal to your highest ability modifier.

Axe Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: All axes you use gain brutal 1 and high crit properties.

Bow Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You gain a 1 step bonus to the damage roll of any weapon attack you make with a bow against a single creature that is not adjacent to any other creature, other than you. In addition you do not provoke opportunity attack from the target of your ranged attacks with a bow.

Crossbow Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You ignore light cover and moderate cover with weapon attacks you make with a crossbow. In addition you can roll damage twice and use either result with crossbow attacks if you haven’t moved since the end of your last turn.

Firearm Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You gain a 1 step bonus to damage rolls of weapon attacks that you make with a firearm against any target within point blank range. You reduce the time it takes you to reload a firearm by one action type.

Flail Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: When you hit with a melee weapon attack using a flail and the attack lets you slide the target, you can knock the target prone instead of sliding it. While you are wielding a flail, standing up from prone provokes opportunity attacks from you, before the target stands up.

Hammer Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: Whenever you score a critical hit with a hammer, the target is knocked prone. In addition if you miss with a melee attack with a hammer and you wouldn’t otherwise still deal damage on the miss, you deal damage to your original target equal to your highest ability modifier.

Heavy Armor Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: While wearing heavy armor, you reduce all forced movement you suffer by one additional square. In addition you do not suffer armor check penalty for wearing heavy armor.

Heavy Blade Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: While wielding a heavy blade, you gain a +2 bonus to all defenses against opportunity attacks. When you make an opportunity attack with a heavy blade, you can use an at-will attack that has the weapon keyword instead of a basic attack.

Holy Symbol Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: Attacks you make with a holy symbol ignore 5 points of damage resistance. This increases to 10 at 11th level and 15 at 21st level. In addition when you make a basic implement attack using a holy symbol, you can target Will rather than the normal defense for the attack.

Improvised Weapon Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You may treat all weapons you are not proficient with as improvised weapons. All improvised weapons you wield have +2 proficiency bonus and deal 1d8 damage for one handed, and 1d12 for two handed weapons. Select a single weapon group, all improvised weapons belong to that weapon group.

Ki Focus Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You gain a 1 step bonus to the damage rolls of attacks that you make with your ki focus against a bloodied enemy. When you make an opportunity attack and are using a ki focus, you can use an at-will attack that has the implement or weapon keyword instead of a basic attack.

Light Armor Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: While wearing light armor or no armor, whenever you suffer forced movement you may shift one square after the forced movement is completed, provided you are able to. In addition you do not suffer armor check penalty for wearing light armor.

Light Blade Expertise [expertise]
Benefit: You gain a 1 step bonus to the damage rolls of weapon attacks that you make with a light blade against a creature granting combat advantage to you. In addition when you make a basic attack using a light blade, you can target AC or Reflex.
